DIVING AND SNORKELING

Boating laws may require that a diving flag be displayed during diving activities.

  • Boats near diving operations must remain a minimum distance (see chapter 2) from areas displaying the “diver down” flag or boats displaying the “code alpha flag."

Code Flag Alpha -
A blue and white flag displayed from boats during dive operations.
Diver Down Flag -
A rectangular red flag with a white diagonal stripe displayed from a float during diving operations.
